I don't think so. The prime market in the US are based on fixed interest 30 year loans... you're not going to see the same sorts of problems stemming from subprime predatory lending practices emerging there.
OTOH, if you've got some numbers beyond "the story is really bigger than we are lead to believe" I'm listening.
