Hi All, there was a nice little article on page 60 of WA's Sunday Times today titled "Bids for onshore gas"

" WA'S onshore petroleum sector is poised to expand sharply after the State Government , for the first time, received bids for all five onshore acreage releases. Mines and Petroleum Minister Norman Moore said onshore releases were historically less popular than offshore acerage releases, but a growing interest in unconventional gas, such as shale, was fuelling demand. Mr Moore noted also that several companies focused on unconventional gas targets in the canning basin had generated much interest recently."The Canning Basin is one of the worlds last frontier onshore provinces", he said. "Investors aware of the gas revolution in the US due to unconventional gas developments believe the same thing could happen in WA"
