It starts.."Shale gas exploration in W.A. is at an intesresting stage according to a major stockbroking firm, but the emerging industry faces a number of key challenges".
"A new report by Patersons released last week, says the Australian shale gas resources are potentially massive, but the industry is likely to be restricted in the short term by high exploration costs and a lack of specialist exploration equipment".
It talks about shortage of rigs and equipment and finishes with "The perth basin - close to a major pipeline and demand centres is of particular interest ATM , because of major drilling programmes about to start by AWE Ltd and upcoming work on the Warro project, which is a JV between Transerv Energy and Alcoa Aust."
Interesting stuff. Dont know if we have a sniff of getting any of this kind of work, but this article shows there is lots of drilling work out there. Look forward to CKK getting some. Would prefer Geothermal drilling but hey, at this point whatever pays the bills will be just fine by me!
