This is a very interesting article with specific reference to centro retail.
We have a large presence in Perth and the advent of Sunday trading will increase overall foot traffic in our centres. Whether that translates to higher profitability for the retailers remains to be seen but in the meantime an extra 1/7th that the centre will be operating will likely lead to an immediate improvement in cap rates (higher valuations) as One could anticipate rents will likely take this into account at the next renewal period.
