Sunless Tanning - A Game Changer

Creating this thread to discuss the sunless tanning opportunity, as I think it is something that will rapidly move into the spotlight during 2025. It is most certainly a game changing opportunity for the company, and is what I am most excited for (as both a customer and an investor!). Risk-free tanning that protects the skin from the harmful effects of the sun, reducing the risk of skin cancer substantially and providing a very appealing tan in the process.


It seems very likely to me that Clinuvel is getting ready for an official announcement of the Sunless Tanning product (melanocortin containing cream) at the AAD in early March 2025. This is the biggest dermatology event of the year, and Clinuvel has purchased one of the largest booths available. This isn't for no reason, they must have something significant planned for it. I don't think showing the AAD 2025 and M Lines side by side in the AGM presentation was unintentional. Also, note that in the image of what I suppose will be their booth, is a photocosmetics section (the Pavillion of Photocosmetics), further highlighting the fact that the even will indeed be to promote their photocosmetic range (and you don't need a booth that large for just a sunscreen). There is also a press event with a magazine publisher soon after the AAD, which further indicates to me they are setting up for an official announcement of the M Line products at the AAD, with coverage in a leading beauty magazine soon after. There may also be samples of the product available at the event. With such a large booth at this conference, and such a relatively unknown brand name relative to the names on other similarly large booths, I think Clinuvel will almost certainly get plenty of attention at this event from the 20,000 attendees, and it should really kick off a surge in interest in this product.

Perhaps we can also expect an early data readout for the P3 Vitiligo trial as well, prior to the event?

They will need around a year at least to generate hype and anticipation for such an innovative product, so a March 2025 announcement also fits well for this. Following this I suspect we will see a substantial ramp up in marketing activities. Sunscreen doesn't generate interest, but the tanning product most certainly will. This will be a product that provides people natural protection from the sun, in addition to providing a very attractive tan without any of the risk associated with UV exposure.
