Sunridge Gold Intercepts 146 Metres of 1.21% Copper and 0.92% Zinc at Emba Derho Project

Sunridge Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE: SGC) reports drill results from the ongoing exploration and in-fill drill program at the large zinc/copper/gold Emba Derho deposit, part of the Asmara Project, Eritrea. The Asmara Project hosts four deposits to date, Emba Derho, Debarwa, Adi Nefas and Gupo Gold and several additional high priority drill targets.

- Recent results from 20 drill holes at Emba Derho continue to show wide intervals of mineralization from the zinc and copper zones

- The mineralized zone has been extended significantly to the north

- Independent resource estimate and engineering studies are underway at Emba Derho and are scheduled for completion in October

- All assay results reported to date are within a provisional open pit outline as currently proposed by an independent engineering firm

- ED-161-D - 60.60 metres grading 1.49% Copper & 0.52% Zinc

- ED-158-D - 52.54 metres grading 2.72% Zinc & 0.40% Copper

- ED-162-D - 61.85 metres grading 2.44% Zinc

- ED-164-D - 19.55 metres grading 7.81% Zinc

- ED-172-D - 24.68 metres grading 4.77% Zinc


The purpose of the present drilling program at Emba Derho is to define the edges of the mineralized body as well as to better define, mostly on 40 metre centres, the known mineralization. Drill holes ED-166, 171, 173 and 174-D have been successful in extending the mineralized zone a significant distance to the north into an area that is encompassed by a provisional open-pit outline. Drilling in the Emba Derho area continues with two drills. Intervals with high grade gold and silver intercepted in drill holes ED-155-D, ED-158-D and ED-164-D are associated with lead in carbonate rich veins as a re-mobilized style of mineralization.
