Same as auto industry in Aus. Retooling a whole factory for something as simple as the wheelbase of a car takes massive Capex from global parent companies. Easier and cheaper to go Greenfield factory in Thailand or South Africa.
same will happen with energy as happened in mobile phone arenas.
remember Nokia?
once the wheelbase or template is in place.
then the source will find it's cheapest source.
water finds level.
same with corporations.
no borders, cheapest labor source and lack of regulation.
that's why China and Glencore source from DPRC.
then the pirates are steering the ship.
forget ethical LMI exchange headed by London exchange .
rule Britannia? no more the ship has sailed and the barbarians are at the gates.
