You are describing capitalism. As demand increases, there will be volatility in supply. This will continue until we reach an equilibrium.
If capital markets refuse to invest in the critical mineral supply chain because of concerns around risk, then China and communism wins. I cannot stomach the idea of communism destroying our markets. I suspect that the US and allies are moving to insulate our markets from Chinese manipulation.
