Any investment can have good and bad runs. Property in Australia has had a very impressive run. Celebrate it. Now move on.
A lot of pro property 'investors' as they like to think, we're lucky. My parents were lucky. Bought in the 70's and sold 2 years ago at the peak. Entirely by chance.
So I guess you could call them 'investors'. But they aren't. They are a regular mum and dad couple.
There are lots of couples like this. A lot were easily convinced to refinance their "good luck" by low life brokers(with TAFE certificates). Buy another? And why not - with all the success we've had already?! It can't fail, look at the history, one relatively consistant uptrend.
What does this say about the market?
tcisboss - I made that comment and I stand by it. 100%. No BS. Why can't this generation of neo-investors/everyday homebuyers display the same cynism towards house prices as you are towards bearish posts?
