I have been in New Delhi for the past 10 months on and off and you very right in thinking that India will also be quick to adopt EV's, they have to.  The pulltion here is out of control as you will see in my pic below. If you are traveling in a vehicle in the morning or after 5Pm it's hard to see a meter in front of you. Pollution here is bad and from the 13th of Nov the Gov will be implementing the odd even number plate system that was introduced and trialed in April last year. How it works, if you have a number plate that ends with the last number odd, you can only drive on a day that has an odd number and vice'versa for cars with an even number plate. Pollution is a very real problem here and the Modi Gov is very much pushing for EV's to reduce the pollution.
