1982, there is a whole range of tests, toc,etc etc etc that you cant find until you drill.
once you have the hole then you can test the formations for fracability .

Ie do the shales/sandstones,etc frac in a vertical form or frac down only.(how does the soil crack open)Lots of info on this in NWE web site, pretty pics and all.re soils

once fract will it release its gas/oil, and under what conditions?? prop etc.

This is all needed information before you can go ahead and drill horizontals.

A2 on the upside may hold/release enough gas in it's own right to be commercial.
