good question - nobody knows for sure. If the operations can keep going for another 10 years or more, this management team won't have to deal with that.
My silly guess is that in 10 years they won't have to spend much because they will turn that big hole into a huge water reservoir/lake. The city will enjoy water security for hundreds of years
