On another (probably ignorant) note, won't the increase in superannuation be offset by the reduced profits of the big miners? Don't superannuation funds invest in the market? Surely, if the big mining companies earn less then what they would have before the (proposed super-tax), won't that lead to less SP appreciation, and therefore less gains for the funds, and in turn, for the workers?
