I run a SMSF and I belief this is the bare minimum - 500 Audit, 500 Accounting software (BGL) and the donation to the ATO around 270. Initial set up cost vary. I would recommend the inclusion of pension stage, etc. I must admit that to keep up with the changes in administrative requirements by the ATO can be challenging but if you go to an annual SMSF conference (cost 500-600) you should be up to date. I trade everything including derivatives
