I suspect one of the problems is that Australian Super is a 'low cost' super administrator. They will own all the PLS in their name and to allow requests like yours they will then have to divvy up all the similar requests to allocate the allotted shares and make refunds. Perhaps not a huge job but, nevertheless, one additional level of admin.
