It's rubbish from them, IMO.
I use Macquarie Wrap (as an adviser), and whilst it took some prompting from me to actually get PLS onto the super/pension investment menu, the SPP is fully recognised.
I have had dozens of corporate actions from all over the ASX50 over the years and all flow through to client accounts. They even have a corporate actions team and online area to facilitate participation rates ($5k,10k,$15k) / lapse of offer.
think Australian Super are feeding you the company line.
