automic do not seem to do USA (but might be wrong), if true they will not issue USA stuff.
most shares over there are traded beneficially but they 1st have to come out of what we call the registry (think automic). over there u can keep them inside the "registry" under ur own name in your own account (ur trustee account for super fund) in the drs system (think issuer sponsored shares here held inside ur registry but way easier to buy and sell). u can buy and sell them using the "registry" without a broker being involved. fees are involved but the shares are actually in ur name, not the name of a broker.
a coupla points to clear if i may.... non-conc caps are for everyone, not just SMSF.
ur deed and periodical asset reviews need to allow international (this really means not be excluded from asset classes available to the trustee).
when u say 3 linked accounts and "have linked all 3 of our accounts into CMC and can easily switch between" peeps should not read that as u r transferring assets between them - it is just that u can see all 3 accounts with a single portal login at CMC.
