What you do on a fortnightly deposit in the near term (just a few dollars) is less important than where you stash your super mother load. As far as I know employers should offer choice of fund but you have to tell the employer what fund and account they should deposit into.
I'm not good at picking bottoms. I truly don't know how low it will go and I don't have my head fully around global debt bombs. The local housing debt bomb impact is easier to predict.
I may start shifting tranches of super cash into global equities later but there is absolutely no reason to do anything but sit at the financial side lines for now.
