Unfortunately, the irony of all this is that if labor gets in, the middle class will suffer the most. Those mums and dads that have mortgages and kids to bring up, and are overworked and struggling with 60 hours weeks etc etc.
The wealthy and well situated will not suffer. The own all their assets and have no loans to repay. They have enough money to keep them comfortable for as long as it takes. If things get too difficult,they just close their businesses, sell appropriate assets and relocate somewhere else.
The lazy and useless also do well. They get ample government handouts and can live in any conditions!
