Hi folks here is my little 2c speculation: JP Morgan is capping CRK for a corporate play.
In their latest release, JP Morgan announced that they have sold 1.75m shares on market, reducing their holding down to 15m+ shares.
I am thinking, with that kind of stake (17m now 15m), they are never going to be able to sell out at any decent price on market. A real seller of that size should engage themselves or other brokers for an off-market institutional transaction. It really should not be that hard to find a decent buyer.
So they may not be a REAL SELLER.
You see, buy selling a few to push down the stock, then announcing to the market that they are selling and still have got 15m+ shares ready to go, it has effectively intimidated us small punters, thus effectively capping the price.
