Geochemical sampling has identified anomalous Ni-Cu values associated with an interpreted ultramafic unit about 10km east-southeast of the Nepean nickel mine (42,000t of contained nickel) near Coolgardie. The target areas were identified by interpretation of recently released aeromagnetic data and may represent possible extensions of the prospective Nepean ultramafic unit.
Two areas of coincident anomalous Ni and Cu values have been identified over a cumulative strike length of 3.5km (Ni values to 10X background and Cu values to 5X background). Elevated Au values to 6X background occur in one of the anomalous Ni-Cu areas. Further sampling to define drilling targets is in preparation
