Absolutely agreed. And that's only EV. We're seeing ever cheaper solar panels, yet that energy needs storing somewhere for nighttime use. Not only on an industrial scale, but Tesla's powerwall and other company equivalents will gain massive popularity imo.

I live in a new suburb far north of Perth and almost every roof has panels on it. For me personally the powerwall is quite expensive for what it is currently. But AFAIK the plan is to bring it's price down over time. I'm sure mass battery production in gigafactories will play a role in this. Once they're cheap enough, I think in a country as sunny as this it would be crazy not to grab solar panels/battery.

So don't forget the role of home energy storage in lithium demand/supply, everyone!
