This is what i've been thinking as well. I was reading a few weeks ago how in western countries coal usage is falling, but Asia is still growing.

If no-one is building (or even financing new mines like in Australia) then that is quite positive for long term coal prices.

Last year China built almost 40GW of new coal plants while the rest of the world built about 13GW.
In total capacity terms (ie including shutting down old plants), Chinaʼs coal fleet grew by 29.8GW in 2020, while in the rest of the world’s net capacity decreased by 17.2GW.
So 2020 was + 12.6GW. Which is an extra 113,400 tonnes of coal used per day added onto demand. (based on 9000 tonnes per GW per day)

I think NHC has around 15 years of resource left at current levels, and being one of the lowest cost producers in Aus. I just dont understand how people can be missing the fact that it is so cheap. Particularly when you add in where the coal price has already moved to (50->90) since the lows of last year yet the shares still languish.

Added another 60000 shares yesterday. Last bought some at around 1.15 and was just waiting for funds to move and missed the minor rally.
