There are 5 other artificial heart companies that I know of and 3 well ahead of VCR. The professional market is well aware of that.
VCR may underperform or even fail due to other issues but I don't think it's "gone" simply because yet another wouldbe competitor has emerged.

Shortterm support has clearly been broken though and it looks like it will go lower.

I'll leave it to the TA/s to put a figure on it.
