Hmmm....you're probably right, notwithstanding some generics are already selling in breach of patent, so sales will not be greatly impacted by an adverse finding in the short term.
It would not be helpful in the medium term, though we are too in the dark about sales rebates and discounting strategy to really make an informed call on this though.
It doesnt really add up as to why they would defer, although I guess all will be revealed in the next week or two....
Maybe they think they'll have some damages to distribute????
