The ability of this company to communicate effectively with the market is, in my view, causing a major problem in the companies ability to create wealth for holders.
The culture of secrecy seems to be entrenched and this prevents holders from being able to get a proper handle on progress and creating confidence in management by allowing us to see how they deal with the various issues which confront the company from time to time.
They have a talented board in place, so I am not sure why they don't move to rectify this issue. The current poor handling of the whole accounts/court case thing is just another indicator of the problem. In this case a few extra lines of information could have put the issues in focus for holders rather than the endless speculation about reasons and the assumption they have something major to hide.
I know you have to be fair to people and give them the chance to improve and paying out contracts is not an expense we need right now. However, if management is secretive then they are. You can always dream up lots of plausible reasons to justify keeping everything out of view. I am just not sure they are going to become inspirational leaders which inspire confidence, which is what we need.
And if we can't have confidence in our company and its leaders and direction - then we have to wait for many years until new products, lead to new revenue and better numbers before the sp recovers. And during the wait we are not even sure they are up to it.
