Merit doesn’t work as we are all born differently, different countries, different heights, different parents, different wealth etc
Ie if I was born a billionaire in Australia and you were born to a poor family in Somalia there can’t really be merit imo
As to equality I think it’s stupid aswell… just a catch phrase… societies have progressed for hundreds of thousands of years not on equality but everything else ie strength, skills, where you were born, who you were born to … almost a survival of the fittest that leads to the strongest genetics
imo we are heading for de-evolution with current inclusiveness, equality mentality… nobody is thinking through long term ramifications just what feels good at the time
