I agree in large part…but to ask for equality of opportunity can’t really happen without being discriminatory can it?
If the person is the best person often because they were born with best circumstances how can there possibly be equality of opportunity … let’s say you had twins and one was adopted into a bad family and one into a good family the one in the good family is going to end up having better opportunities to choose from generally …
to say we should aim for equality of opportunity is in a sense what reverse discrimination or affirmative action is in my mind and why the govt spends billions extra on aboriginal oppurtunitity and why employers etc will employ an aboriginal before other races
