My intention was not to divert attention from the Newsat board. On the contrary, it was to wonder whether some of Newsat board/Mgt were complicit in behind the scenes activity leading to Speedcast's opportunistic acquisition.

At the end of the day board/mgt are just employees, they would look after themselves not necessarily the wellbeing of the company (once it was clear the wellbeing is struggling). As has been pointed out on numerous occasions they have come out alright with their salaries, is their some icing on the cake for them post Newsat! I would be keeping a keen eye on contracts, staff movements and everything else to do with Speedcast in the coming months.
