i think with the advent of this interest free sham, harvey or any other retailer using GE are forced to build in the interest rate GE Charge into every product, over 40 months at say 12%(im sure its more) thats a significant markup on a 3k tv. if you pay cash they usually knock off that margin no questions asked. the suckers that pay sticker price cash are netting the retailer easy money
its all the other costs that are driving us online, no need for 300 sales staff and a show room the size of the mcg. just a few guys answering emails and dropshipping the product. easy
