Aparantly the ATO is going to look into penalising Aussie retailers for setting up overseas websites dedicated to lowering thier taxes.
Can anyone tell me how this is fair?
Fair would be no GST for ALL purchases under $1000 regardless or GST on ALL purchases regardless.
Does anyone believe we should start being selective with who pays tax and who doesn't?
Ps: i wonder what would happen if car companies started buying in thier overseas models broken down in parts from thier parent companies website? Loophole maybe? Would this then be fair to Aussie car companies?
