BS - You are correct to point out the "24-48 hours" timeframe again.
By my maths, the following should explain what is (probably) going on:
Report No. 12
Drilling at 4,580mRT.
"Upper to Middle Jurassic reservoir targethas been revised to approximately 4,650mRT".
Report No. 13.
"Drilling ahead at 4,683mRT."
"Penetrated the Upper Durassic at 4,619mRT".
ie in 7 days drilled 4683-4580=103m / 7 = 14.7m per day.
(not allowing for bit change 8" to 6" etc).
Therefore at best, to reach target at approx 4650+say 50m?? = 4700-4683 = 17M. would be at least MORE THAN 1 day = Therefore = 48 hours.
QED - so wait for tomorrow!! - as all have been saying.
PS
Not quite sure what the target depth is below 4650m.
My assumption of 50m may have been a bit light.
