Johno247,
There is no universal rule on decline rates. There are fields in the basin (premium ones) where commercial production has been sustained for 10 years and other areas where after a month the decline rates are 90%.
I called around multiple drillers in the USA that has experience in this basin (parading that I was going to invest in the area and needed to outsource the drilling team in the next 6 months). Suggest other HC people try something similar for independent research. After all these are the people that is most likely going to give you the most independent and non-bias information. Always request to speak to someone technical ... you may get a lot of information that you may not initially understand but that is where you have to study.
Also the contaminant content (like water and other residue) is also a factor. I am told that even with flow rates you may not sell the oil in the first few week to a month since there could be too much contaminants initially.
There is no doubt that AKK has potential, and I guess they now have some cash to do something serious(although I prefer that the placement was done after the flow rate report). My average price for AKK is like 0.8c since I have been trading these since last last July so even if the worst happens I believe I am still fine. Some of the expectations on this forum that this is a certain cracker lack a lot of understanding and information.
