Bo Zhu is the founder and chairman of the Innovalley Accelerator/Incubator in Shenzhen and Guangzhou, China. He is also a founder of the Dreamchaser investment management fund in Shenzhen and is acknowledged as one of the top ten most successful angel investors in China. With twenty years of experience working with Internet, IT, and telecommunication, Mr. Zhu has directed Innovalley in investing in more than 60 companies in the United States and in China, helping a majority of these companies exceed twenty times their original valuation.
Prior to establishing Innovalley, Mr. Zhu served as CMO of business and software product line unit at Huawei, and later as the President of Internet business. He has held both engineering and executive positions at Qualcomm and American Express. Mr. Zhu comes from both an investing and entrepreneurship background. He founded NeTrue Communications, a global VoIP service provider that reached IPO on the Canada Stock Exchange. He was also the founder of Cgogo in 2004, which received institutional financing. His investment portfolio includes startups such as CoverMe, DownTown,
xTV, Weendy, and BoostInsider, super syllabus, gift talk, jianzhe mao, dajiatou etc.
Mr. Zhu graduated from Arizona State University with a Master of Computer Science, and holds a Bachelor from Zhejiang University in China. He is currently working on a Doctor of Business Administration from EDC Rennes School of Business in France.
