LetsTryAgain, I am still alive & kicking but disappointed at all the non believers who sold their shares as a result of impatient expectations.
The contract negotiations, I believe, would have been very complicated to allow for a licence fee then a fee based on estimated future savings. They would have had to work out how many & which sensors were to be applied to which type of aircraft. There would be a variation between existing & new aircraft & there could also be a variation on how many sensors each individual airline would require on its various aircraft. There are probably other considerations of which we have not thought.
Then it comes down to legal issues. What happens if a crash occurs through stress cracking & there was no warning because of failure of the sensors? Would SMS need insurance against this occurring, to be protected against litigation or would it be the responsibility of the airline or both?
After all the above is sorted out we then could have a negotiation on what percentage of savings SMS charges. Will this percentage vary with different contracts with each airline, depending on how many aircraft, new or existing & which types?
Good luck on trying to work out how to come up with a deal encompassing all of the above.
When you consider all this, no wonder it is taking time. Some of those in the negotiations are possibly just coming back from annual leave so give it to the end of January before you again start to become impatient again. It is still possible final negotiations could take until the end of the quarter. If you have faith in the technology then this may be your last opportunity to get on board.
As far as an Elliott Wave count on the SMN chart is concerned, it has been a failure for the initial count to proceed, mainly through inaction & high expectations. After the recent melt down of the share price I can see no clear wave count that could explain what happened.
Each time an impulse wave occurred a correction brought the price down to a point where a 5 wave count could not proceed because each potential 4th wave broke the top of the prior potential first wave thus nullifying that count.
If we receive the positive news we are all expecting then we may have hit bottom & we are in the first wave of a significant 5 wave bullish move.
I have a significant holding in SMN & have not sold any nor do I intend to sell any until the share price is more than triple the current price.
