I've done that several times in the past wipeoff and like you have found them always very helpful. I subsequently trust them to the degree that I believe they are still waiting to hear themselves, and will let us know as soon as they become aware of the outcome.
I'm quite sure that on this matter they share my frustration and are just as keen to hear - but more particularly keen to get the lease extension and mount their aggressive exploration program.
I admire everyone else's confidence.
