To be honest who cares. The surplus is pretty much heavily reliant on the world economy. If it performs to the upside, surplus it will be (& Dear Leader takes the credit). If it performs to the downside then a deficit it will be (& Dear Leader can blame world economic events).
I honestly dont go to bed worrying about surpluses & deficits. The next Coalition Govt can always fix it by selling off Telstra.... DOH! Telstra's already been sold off, hasnt it...
