    Why would the customer go to another retailer after the checkout stage just because of a change in payment method?

    When shopping, what are you buying? the product the store is selling, or the payment methodology at the checkout?

    When shopping, if i want to use my AMEX and the store says sorry we dont accept that, i have never ever said ok, ill go to another store then. I imagine similar things with APT.
