you are saying that they can test this in third world countries, in people who, as you put, would not receive conventional therapies anyway?

never considered this, and i guess it definitely presents a good opportunity to test the drug in an initial stage. i find it hard to believe you could get a drug approved based on findings within this sort of demographic. there are way too many confounding variables.

but an interesting thought. do you know of any drugs that have been gone through this route? i would like to read more...
