I assume the conventional therapy is regarding the observed standard of care. In this case, standard care isn't chemotherapy, it is the standard of care they currently receive after chemo, once the cancer is in remission. I don't know what this entails exactly, but it might just be check-ups, some education, physical therapy due to prolonged bed-rest, maybe someone else knows more about OSC post-chemo...

So, as i mentioned above. it isn't designed to replace chemo...it is designed to be given after chemo, at least that is when they are trialling it for.
