    ...it's not taking the UMC board over a week to decide whether they can or can't recommend a $1.40ish bid to shareholders?

    ...and on a similar theme surely they aren't going to let the bidder put in a ridiculous break fee/poison pill or similar?

    I'd have some faith if it wasn't UMC we were talking about :)
