The thing I like is that the behavioural and process (diagnostic) changes will be happening (on a global scale) due to COVID but nasal swabs were already used in medicine. That demand for a more user friendly option continues (& I understand cost is basically same as traditional swab so shouldn’t be barrier). If can get widespread roll out now it’s an ongoing need. Now that people are used to the idea of RAT testing I also wouldn’t be overly surprised if we see RATs for influenza in the future and RATs just become a standard part of our healthcare behaviours beyond peak covid.
