Hi local hero
In answer to your question of any ideas of what's causing the rise? In my view, the positive thing is that there are multiple reasons which all make for a compelling buying opportunity. In isolation they may not be significant enough to generate an increase in the share price, but together it's hard to not improve sentiment for HIG i.e.
- 28 million cash
- free carried in 2 huge projects
- promising drilling results
- don't need to raise funds as this is the responsibility of the Chinese and xstrata
- speculation about a future takeover of Freida
- investors doing the sums on projcted income from ramu (excess of 15 million)
etc
Add it all up, and the signs are very promising, hence the rise in share price.
