Buddy Thanks for the transport figures....

I thought i might well post the cost per barrel that I come up with.

1 barrel of oil with a API of 40(this is the figure CTP have provided) weighs 131kg. So the full daily production weighs 380barrel x 131kg = 50 tons.

    Volume would be 60,000L.

From buddy's transport cost figures I have picked the $7/km to be conservative.

Well site to Alice is 550Km
Alice to Darwin 1500Km - I have only ever heard JH talk about sending the oil to Darwin.

    Total distance 2050Km x$7 = $15,000 approx.

    Cost per barrel $15,000/380 = $40

Now the $7/Km is probably a bit on the high side as the load is only 50tons.

The oil will be stored in tanks at the well site so the load to be shipped could be more than 380barrel.

If we assume the truck can handle 120tons then each load should be able to take 900 barrels of oil.

So if we redo calc 15,000/900 = $17

So rough conservative transport cost from well site to darwin is $20/barrel.

They would need on site storage for around 150,000L.
