    Goro is right I think. You only flow a DST for a small period of the total test time, the rest of the time is tripping in and out and measuring build-up pressure curves in the shut-in phase. It's not like they flowed it for three days straight.

    It would have started flowing lower than 300bopd, then gradually cleaned up to average 300, then in the second test it would have cleaned up some more to get to 380. It's probably as cleaned up as it's going to get now.

    My thoughts are "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush!" The deeper targets are high risk and probably have a chance of success well less than 30%. So I think they made the right decision to chase the Stairway first, and the deeper targets aren't going anywhere, they will still be there for a future well if they develop the Surprise field. But if Surprise is sub-commercial then they might decide the lower targets don't stand as worthwhile targets in their own right.
