Rafish, I can't seem to locate any previous announcements referring to a faulty cement job as being the cause. They did have a problem seating the bridge plug that was suppose to isolate the test zone before flow testing was done, but no mention of that as being the cause. I was under the impression that the tight reservoir quality was the main cause of no flow of oil. A reference was made about the similarities in the Mereenie fields, where some wells on initial flow did not produce much due to the tightness of the reservoir. JH did mention about maybe returning to JW-1 to do a horizontal at a later stage after a 3D is shot. That same conclusion might have prompted them to hire Dalton Hallgren to kick off a horizontal on Surprise-1. I wonder if Surprise-1 was flow tested without a horizontal leg that the same problem might have occurred.
