According to todays announcement we are back drilling. The first target (a secondary oil) in the Mereenie Sandstone is only 3 or 4 good drilling days away. Some possibility of a Monday announcement re Hydrocarbons in the Mereenie, though more likely to be Tuesday or Wednesday.
The main target in the Stairway Sandstone is not likely to arrive before the following weekend. From the Daily Drilling Update site on the CTP web page, it mentions taking cores in the Horn Valley Siltstone and the Stairway Sandstone. I wouldn't like to guess how long that will take. Last time as some will remember core taking didn't turn out very well and took up a lot of time. Just hope the practice on JW 1 has upgraded the drilling crews skill level.
