Seems like most people here are recent residents to this country & have no respect for a balanced view from the families that made this country. Obviously, you late arrivals have no respect for the majority of the people that live here. You should not be naïve to what this company is up against in this region. Look at the facts, not imaginary fairy stories. Just because you may have a different view to the majority of people that live here won't magically change things. I'm not against gas exploration, if it is done right. BUT, throughout my career I have seen corruption spoil good intent for the sake of money, big money. Big money breeds corruption. Now all you lot are here investing for the good of the country or to just make money. Be honest now. If you do not live here then you may not care for the people that do & only interested in the money. There is truly a lot of gas in this country, but will it stay here to help the local community or will it leave the area for a bigger profit & keep gas prices high locally. Few extra dollars for you , maybe a few local jobs in Casino but not enough to boost our economy in the region. Need to persuade locals in the region that it will be done right. Eg. If drilling hits aquifer, stop, & offer water to the farmer & try elsewhere. Redsky drilled in the area & hit gas without hitting any aquifer, so it's not a big deal, everybody happy. You lot have just got to pull your heads out of the sand & stop being so redneck stubborn. Think of Australia not always your pockets, do the right thing by the community & the country. Otherwise , well you know.
PS. If you want to leave your heads in the sand, I'll understand, you can ignore me & I know there is a lot more to it. But my investment is in the hope of cheaper gas for the community. Oh yeah, my family , have been here since the early 1820s , a good half century before that other bloke.
