    It is far from simplistic, that is why they have engaged Tensa.

    As for the buoys being out of the water, really?

    I don't know what a 20 metre diameter buoy would weigh, (mostly filled with water) but lifting it out of the water would be impossible. Someone might like to calculate how much that would be?

    I would think about as much chance as a small iceberg doing the same thing and they are not anchored.

    If anyone wants to have a try, the formula for calculating the volume of a sphere is V = ⁴⁄₃πr³.

    A cubic metre of water is 1 tonne.

    At a guess, I would say the weight of a half filled buoy would be approximately double the weight of the last ship I served on. Remember, the buoy has only minimal positive buoyancy.
