what was the mantra for a week or so "tough but fair". watso cannot recall what it was about - but maybe it was tough on people smugglers - but fair on asylum seekers.. whatever - but people smugglers were portrayed as being the lowest of the low..
there is a demand,and people smugglers meet the demand.. sadly the government has policies , which make it attractive for people to want to come here..as an indo said "remove the sugar".
this is unbelievable - create policies, which attract asylum seekers, and then vilify the people who "make it happen".
oh well - but this is the government that tells us that introducing a carbon tax, will lower energy prices.. this is a government that tells us, that they believe in "strong borders" (which is why we have "border protection command")
a slogan is good enough to say the opposite of what is happening - but the 50% of the population, which has below average intelligence, fall for this - hook line and sinker.. and they vote
